  1. Argh! After reading all about the problems with the All-in-wonder card I am thoroughly confused.

I just built a new computer. (AthlonXP 1800+ with just Cd writers so far) I installed Windows XP Home and the drivers from the box with the A-I-W card. Now I see on this website to use the "newer" drivers. Maybe I already have them. How do I find out if I have the "new and improved" versions listed at the help site?

My card is the All-in-Wonder Radeon 8500DV 64MB version purchased on Sept 19 2002. I see that I have the DirectX version installed with XP.

Dumb newbie question #2: Does the software that came with my A-I-W card let me edit out (the commercials) when I convert my VHS tapes?

    Thanks,
    Dazed Woman

Not sure about your card but Virtualdub can take them out or you can use "cut editing" in TMPG to remove them....
