  1. Ive just starting ripping dvd and backing them up to vcd. As i was following SEFY'S guide i came across a bit of a problem. When i came to encode the movie in TMPGEnc it won't open the .d2v. It comes up with an error message saying unsupported file. Ive tryed changing the enviromental setting but still nothing. Can anybody out there help a distressed man.

    Thanking you in Advance

  2. of cource it doesn't open... D2V files are strictly VIDEO files
Now, i suppose you have an audio file too? Well, here's wut you do

    TMPG
    FILE
    MPEG TOOLS
    SIMPLE MuLTIPLEXING
Select your D2V file and your audio file
    Select the output file
    MULTIPLEX

I'm not 100% sure it'll work, but my guess is yes

You need to install the VFAPI plug-in for TMPGEnc before it can open .d2v files.

    get it here http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html

Have you done anything with "Directshow Reader"? If yes set it back to default or "-1".

Make sure you register TMPGEnc.vfp to VFAPI under Option Tab.

After you had DVD2AVI create d2v project files, do not move or do anything will all D2V, WAVE and VOBs file.
