Hi,
I downloaded a verified movie file. Not realising it was xvid, I used divfix to rebuild the index because I coulnt get it to play on DivX player, WinDVD or Real. I then checked the file with Gspot, where it told me that it was encoded with xvid.
So I tried 4CC code changer, and the file does now play in DivX player, but there is only sound. There is a large line of blocky green pixels at the top of the screen when playing, and the rest of the screen is black.
I know the file was OK, because I could see the start of it when it was viewed as a thumbnail in the folder.
I have installed the Nimo codec

NOW I know the solution to this shit.
I uninstalled all DivX codecs and xvid codecs. Then I Installed only xvid to test if it worked and it did but with no sound cause it had ac3 sound.
You can install xvid codecs from here:
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html
Then I installed all DivX codecs separat (Not from Nimo).
http://www.divx-digest.com/software/divxcodec.html
After that I installed Nimo Pack but unchecked all divx codecs and the xvid codec and also uncheck a direct show filter which is Ffdshow DirectShow 2002-04-19. Install Nimo from here:
http://www.btinternet.com/~nimosiro/
Now all should work fine!
