    is this program good for capturing MPEG2?

    If you have a fast system its pretty good. Cyberlink has a demo why not try it for yourself.

    It is realtime capture/encode (no temp file and then mpg build like some apps do). I think powervcrI was like that.

    It has some noise reduction and softening filters but its either on or off, they not adjustable.

    You can tweak the registry to get odd frame sizes like 704x480 or 352x480 that are not available as defaults.

    Lots of posts on this one. Search the forum on PowervcrII and you will see them all.

    Another app that compares well is Intervideo's Windvr. They have a demo also.
    There's not much to do but then I can't do much anyway.
