    Every movie that i download, tmpgenc won't let me convert it. It just say file can not open, or usupported. I know the files r good because i can watch them in Windows medai player and Global Divx Player
    any help would be great!

  2. sounds like they are not actual AVI files

    you are trying to open Divx files in an AVI/MPG encoder
    (it's not supposed to work)

  3. I have some divx's like that too.. I think they have 8bit audio for some strange reason =( Anyway, i can use virtualdub to frameserve and load them into tmpgenc.
