  1. Is it possible to put 1021mb of SVCD on one CD? I have seen the guide for a VCD but not for SVCD.

no, you must split it first with TMPGenc or bbMPEG. Check the EDIT section to the left.

    Not necessarly...

Since SVCD is VBR it depends heavly on the person encoding the disk. I've gotten 65 mintes of high quality video on one disk before, generally I get 45minutes/disk.

  5. I am just using the settings that are suggested on the how to guide. What have you found are the best settings and how do you know in advance whether it will fit on one or not?

  6. I believe you will not get the best answer here, becuz different persons have different setting. Some might use CQ, some use VBR or 2 pass-VBR, some decrease audio bitrate. And also they'd prefer different leghth of time to fit in one CD becuz the more minutes you fit into one CD the lower quality you get.

I have seen a lot of posts about SVCD and number of ways to fit more minutes in one CD. so why dont you do the search to see how ppl encode SVCD. I think it's better than wait them to post here.

For my setting I always use CQ with different of video bitrate (depends on how many minutes I want in one CD). I'd prefer to fit not more than 60 mins in one CD. Sometime I use 2pass VBR depend on what type of movie and how good of quality I want it to be (2pass VBR will take twice longer than CQ and CBR).

guide to search SVCD 2 pass VBR, SVCD and CQ, CVD setting, more minutes in SVCD, etc.....

REMEMBER, the more minutes you get the more quality you loose.
