i have ATI ALL-IN-WONDER RADEON 8500DV 64MB DDR AGP-BULK.
i am trying to capture my vcr movie. if you ever use the interface that comes with ATI application, it allows you to customize what codec you want to use. so i choose divx 5.0 out of many. is this the best compression? anyway, when i record only a minute of movie from the vcr, the file is about 15 mb which means that a 2 hour movie will run you about 1.8 gb. when i view the quality looks great but when i try to convert for the 1 minute, the quality dimishes with pixels. why? what do i do wrong?
for 1.8 gb vcr movie, i need about 3 cds. is there a better compression? i thought divx 5.0 is the best compression out there?
your help will be appreciated because i have so many home videos that i would like to put on cds.
thanks!
