In the simulation Nascar 2002, there is a replay studio, but they save files in N2002 format.. The only way to make an .avi is to capture the audio and video while playing the replay in N2002. Im trying to find the best way to make a quality .avi from the audio and video playing in the 600x480 game window.. First, I dont have a capture card, but will get one if necessary. I have a P4 1.7 ghz, GeForce 4 Ti4600, and SB Audigy.
I was able to capture video half way decent using a program called Fraps (www.fraps.com), and save the .wav directly with the SB card. Then used VDub to combine the 2.. But capturing the video is too much for the computer to handle usually and I have to really drop frame rate down.. Can someone show me what to do for the best result, I see most of the guides are for capturing off a TV or outside source.. Thanks!
Kevin
