  1. I have burned a VCD with Toast 4, it works, and when I put it in my Phillips DVD player, it reconizes it as a VCD, but tells me "PBC off". I found PBC in preferences, turned it on and off, but it dosn't help? Did I burn my VCD-RW wrong?

    PBC is PlayBack Control .
I don't think you'll need it to play the VCD.
I have to press the play button twice in this situation.
    You could try this.

  3. If a VCD contains menus and other interactive content, PBC must be enabled for you to view that content.

When you play with PBC off, the video tracks on the VCD are simply played from beginning to end.
