  1. Is there a mpeg2 codec for windows media player which plays SVCD in the correct 4:3 ratio instead of a squashed little square in the middle???

  2. What?, if the file is only 480x480 is is only gone use 480 pixels.

You can right click on the "small little square" and select 200%

Or you can select full screen.

Playing around with "keep aspect ratio" and
adjust the window size to be 4:3 should help.

PowerDVD or Zoomplayer have more options.

The elecard MPEG2 codec listed here is the one to use to let WMP recognise DAR(display aspect ratio) flags. I do however highly recommend a software player like PowereDVD instead.

  7. Ditto on using PowerDVD,but if you purchase any Ulead product an mp2
