vdub, cce, 23.9-25 fps, some resizing, textsub divx->svcd

My dvd player simply doesn't jump to time instead it says, "not an available option"
Some other movies ( svcd ) I got from sites work fine, they jump an all, but the ones I encode simply refuse.[/b]

It might depend on several factors.

    1) Some DVD players only allow time search of NON-PBC discs, so make sure to disable PBC in your authoring software.

    2) For time search to work properly the MPG must be muxed with scan offsets. bbMPEG does these 100% to spec, TMPGenc is close, but does not align it's packets so it might cause this effect.

    3) Something else all together.

    Thanks snowmoon for the reply

But 1.: I'm using nero 5.5.7.2, and VCD easy. As far As I know theese do PBC, without the possibility of disabling it.
And I've burnt movies in my burner, that work fine on my standalone

2, I'm using bbMpeg, and cce. So that couldn't be a problem, could it?

3, I'm still open to suggestions

    Anyway, thanks for the help

The second page of options under (s)vcd has a checkbox.

    Use playback control.

Uncheck this option and the disk will be PBC free.
