Hopefully an easy question!?!
I've extracted the audio from a DivX avi (in VirtualDub) and verted to an SVCD however the audio is slightly out of sync.
Why is this and how do I work out the lag and adjust in TmpgEnc to syncronise it?
Thanks in Advance.

Using VDub join the video to the audio as a "stream copy.
Under Video settings, set to "direct stream copy" also under video go to frame rate and set "change so video an audio durations match".
Under Audio go to "wav audio" and add the extracted audio.
Save under new name ie. *****stream.avi.
In TMPGEnc add the stream .avi AND the .wav and convert as usual.
Usually works.
Hope it helps.
P.S. I usually use CoolEditPro to extract the audio.
