Hello, i downloaded a file called (Bridget.Jones.Diary.DVDRip.DiVX-ViTE) of kazaa and when i go 2 encode it plus i already have cut half the film i keep gettin a error message saying "-537403781 98656 and im using TMPGEnc why is this happing? can it b a bad avi file? cos this is really peein me off help would b nice

No I see its diffrent..

Don't cut it in half, use TMPGEnc to convert all of it, then cut the mpeg 1 in half with Merge&cut

However you should scan it for junk frames using Vdub, if there is anything wrong like VBR, your cut will cause a problem.
