Hi ,ive been trying to copy some vcd,s to vhs(for my poor mates).PAL disks work fine but those from a NTSC source shake.Is there any simple way round this,or do i have to make it PAL format to start with]

You could use TMPGenc to change the framerate and picture size to PAL standards. It's not a real frame rate conversion, though which is much more complicated. The result could have some jerkiness in scenes with lots of movement, but when you tape it to VHS it should be almost unnoticeable. Take a look at the guides provided on this site.
