Thank you. It is not a DVD rip but a downloaded movie file. Will it work for an SVCD too?

Yes, skip the part about ripping and go to the TMPGEnc part. You will input your video file the same way.

thanks. Have you any tips on how to make an SVCD easily. I am having a bit of trouble burning them.

Did you read the Newbie guides, along with the SVCD section. Using your templates is supposed to reduce your problems, so hang in there.

I read the newbie guide and followed what it said but I am having a problem when it comes to burning it. It stops burning during the burn and I don't know why.

You did not mention if you used the templates, and what program you are using for the burn.

I did use the template for ntsc and then vcd easy

And the VCD does not work or it does not finish burning?

It doesn't finish burning

No it only plays for about 25mins
