  1. I made an mpeg2 file using ffmpegx and used vcd tools to create xa images and burned an SVCD using toast. It plays fine on my computer but no sound. I burned this same mpeg2 file as VCD and everything looks fine but of course the resolution is lower.

The only thing I can think of is that the audio was encoded at 48 khz but that seems to be in spec.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

  2. what you can do is decompress the audio file using a program called Decompressor which you can download with AVI 2 VCD. Decompress the audio and then covert it see if that works..Another solution you can do is that extrcact trhe audio using Virtual Dub. Load up your Mpeg Click on the Audio tab and the click on Full Processing Mode. Click on File and Save Wav. BAM !!!...THEN you can encode the file in TMPGEnc and for the Audio Source select the Wav file that you extracted. Hopefully it should work.

P.S - For the Decompressor to recognize your file it has to be an AVI.
