I've got a xvid avi movie which I've managed to convert to mpeg to burn onto VCD.
I have altered the VFAPI settings in TMPGEnc (Ver 2.58) to achieve this.
The movie is fine except for a slight jerkiness which is only noticeable when the movie pans really.
Here are my settings -
Directshow Mult File reader 3
AVI2 (OpenDML) File reader 1
AVI VFW comp reader 0
Microsoft MPEG-1 Decoder 0
BMP/PPM/TGA/JPG File reader -2
Wave file reader -2
DVD2AVI Proj file reader 1.76 -2
TMPGEnc Proj File reader 2.58 -2
Can anyone suggest an improvement on these or a way to get rid of the jerkiness?
Thanks

Does your chosen template match the framerate of the source?

Thanks banjazzer, you hit the nail on the head. I checked the AVi in Nandub and it has a framerate of 23.976 fps so I encoded at 24 fps instead of the usual 25 fps and bingo its fine!
Just needed a push in the right direction.
Thanks a lot
