    Hey all

    Nero has always been stable and I have never had any problems with it.
    Today however it has given me 3 unusable DVD-R discs. At least so far.

    I am trying to burn a DVD-movie on to a Verbatim DVD-R disc with my Pioneer Ao4. What seems to happen is that when the first vob file is burned to the disc, (25%), the buffer goes down to o, and then it freezes and my computer hangs after minute or so and the light on my Pioneer goes off.

    I am using Nero 5.5.9.0

    The files are extraced with Isobuster from an .img file.

    After destroying 3 discs I renamed the .img file to .iso and burned it with Ulead DVD Factory and it works fine.

    Anyone know why Nero freezes?

    Maybe upgrade to 5.5.9.14?
