I'm interested in what us slow folks are using to cap. Certainly nothing over 1GHZ need apply....
Celeron 366 (but at 433 I think), 128M RAM @66MHZ, ATA-66 80GB hard drive(would be ATA-100 but motherboard doesn't support it). It will cap at 720X480 without compression or 720X480 with picvideo at 15 or 16 I think. 480x480 with picvideo @18 or 19. I can use huffyuv at 480x480 but not in it's best compression mode.

I've been capturing for nearly 3 years on my eMachine (Celeron 366Mhz) using the Dazzle DVC USB (original one). It has performed flawlessly during that time on this machine.
And even though I have more powerful systems, the Dazzle continues to work on all of them.
I can't say the same for the newer generation Dazzle devices, like the Dazzle DVC 100. Crappy software.
