I've been having a problem I've seen brought up here but never really solved. I've been using TMPGEnc to do my conversions for low-bitrate XVCDs to fit 80+ movies. After authoring a complicated scene-selection menu with MPEG stills, I have difficulties.
While I can play the XVCD from the beginning without any audio sync problems, if I choose an entrypoint from the scene selection menu or use prev or next during playback within a chapter, the audio goes badly (1/2-2 seconds) out of sync. Also, going from the scene selection menu I get a badly garbled image which is a product of the menu I leave from and the entrypoint's image.
This entrypoint system with relaxed APS on XVCDs has worked fine with multitrack VCDs (say, several episodes of a TV show with entrypoints within them); it's only full-length movies that this occurs in. What should I do?
