  1. Ive just updates to the latest version of nero and it is crap!!!!
well perhaps I dont know how to use it properly.
It keeps going into Nero Express mode.
I want to create DVD backups.
In express mode I cant see any settings (Iso settings,Joilet settings Etc).i dont know what kind of DVD im burning.
CAN I get it to go back to the old Nero burning rom interface.

Also can I burn a disc image in IFO editor and then burn that image in DVD decrypter .This would mean I can avoid nero all together.>>>>

  6. Hi, guys! I have an opinion question to ask. I downloaded the trial version of Nero Burning Rom 5.5.5.17. My question is, to get a serial number from Ahead off of the web is $49.00, to get the CD Rom with a couple of additonal things, like a DVD Player software, ect is about $80. Since I already have the DVD software on my computer, what would make spending the addtional $30 worth while, or would it be. Do you all have the internet version or the CD Rom and which would you suggest I go for? Thanks!

  7. Check out the prices here:

  8. I'm sorry, what is OEM version as opposed to the versions sold at Ahead?

The OEM version is usually for one brand of recorder like Yamaha. If you try to change recorder to say a Sony, Nero will not find any recorders. The version you get from Ahead is open and supports all recorders.
I had this same problem when my Phillips recorder went out and I bought a new Yamaha bare drive. Nero could not find the Yamaha drive. I purchased the serial # off the web and downloaded the latest version of Nero, all is working fine now. Even installed a Pioneer DVR-104 and Nero found it with no problems.

  10. MikeV, thanks for the info. But that brings me back to my original question. Is there any good reason to purchase the Nero CD as opposed to the cheaper internet version?

  11. But those OEM version linked by price graber,
those not indicate which particulat company or drive.
Are these at least support 10 or 20 different model ?

Anyone has bought these and give us some feedback ?

I bought my copy off of ebay for 9.95 including shipping. It recognized my pioneer 104 as well as my liteon.
