Hi guys
I have been making DVDrs on a PC for a long time.
I am currently using datasafe gen 3(x2 speed) media
the results work fine on my PC desktop, yelo800 standalone and my parents hitachi standalone. Recently I made 4 disks for a freind who has a
G4 tibook. None of them work (only one of them manages appaering on the deskop and even that one will not play) I wanted to know if there are any known issues with apple hardware and pc authored dvdrs or perhaps its more likely to be a fault with my friends machine (just to make sure - I did test the disk before givving them, on my standalone)
any thoughts will be appreciated.

Might be the media - I saw a comment about princo that it wouldn't play on a mac. Some drives are more sensetive to media, and laptops are the worst. Try different media types.
I'm assuming that normal DVDs play ok on that mac.
I wouldn't think that the source of the authoring should affect playability -- DVD-spec is DVD-spec. -
In light of the previous post:
does anyone here have experience with dvdr medias that has worked on the apple Tibook dvd rom ? ( I assume apple ones would work, but i would rather use something cheaper) -
Sony brand works (both -R and -RW) but they're not cheaper. I purchased some Memorex the other day and will test those this weekend.
