I have never heard of any svcd compliant dvd player that cannot play vbr encoded SVCDS, especially if it can play CBR encoded ones. VBR is supported in the standard so if any dvd player that claims to support SVCDS cannot play it then it is defective.
I have this player and I can tell you from experience that it will definitely play VBR encoded SVCDS. -
thanks for the quick reply..........I guess I'm screwed because my apex 600 will not play svcd's recorded with vbr....it has no problem with ones recorded with cbr (its actually the same clip re-recorded with cbr).....it also stopped playing the only DVD-R that i have, any relation and is there anything I could do to fix.......
