Newbie Question. Burned SVCD plays on PC not on player...

I burned a SVCD which plays on my PC but not on dvd player.

So I download the SVCD sample from this site and it plays fine on my dvd player.

I used Nero to burn both. I tried burning both the bin/cue I made and the mpeg using Nero and neither would play. Nero did complain about the sampling rate being 48k on my files but that was it.

I used dvd2svcd to do the ripping and encoding. The encoding was done by CCE.

This is my first try at ripping, I assume I got close to getting it right since it plays on my PC but I must have done something wrong since it will not play on my dvd player.

Any advice?

make sure your bitrate is less than 2600. Try 2000 and see if it works.

I use DVD2SVCD and CCE, ripping the files with Smartripper, but I burn the Bin/Cue files with VCDeasy, and find that this works better than Nero.

Not all players will handle 48K audio. Try resampling to 44.1k
