I need some advice here...I use TMPGENC for 2passVBR, Non-comp. VCD 704480. If I use 3800 average, 4000 max, the VCD plays fine. However, the total file size comes out to about 800Meg for 30 minutes of video; too big for one disc..The entire thing I am converting is 60 min so it is already in two pieces, 30 each. Bummer. When I go down to 35003700 max, the motion slows down at spots on my standalone, and it is not 'blocky'.
So....
does blocky picture mean too little bitrate,
does slow/freezing motion at times mean too much bitrate,
or do I have it backwards.
Does anyone suggest a bitrate calc other than BitrateCalc that can address different resolution such as 704480 XVCD? It seems to use the 352240 basis.
Thanks once again
