Hi, need some help on this. I was able to ripped a movie using smart ripper stream processing and I got 2 files .m2v & .ac3 but the combination of these 2files come out to more than 4.7 gig ...... From what I can read in this forum .. I used the ReMpeg to re-encode the .m2v file so the file will be smaller than 4gig.....
After 8 hrs, I was able to load the new files to spruce it and I try to watch it, there are some pixelating going on across the whole screen. Small little squares of different color will flash across different part of the screen and it is really anoying...
Question ...
Is this normal?
Is there another program out there that I can use to make the .m2v file smaller and not get the pixelation.......??
Settings on my Rempeg: I use the bitrate calculator to get the bitrate and it came out to be 460000, I used both match and progressive and that didn't make a difference......I didn't use full I kept the default on that ...
Iam doing anything wrong that is why Iam getting this pixelation..
My system:
xp pro
AMD 1500xp
256 DDR
60 gig HDD
Pioneer a03
Any help on this is much appreciated..

Tmpeg is a better choice for transcodeing into smaller DVD file. It can create an m2v which you could use with the ac3 file in an authoring program like SpruceUp. I gave up on Rempeg because of it's very eratic trancodeing.
