I have an Iwill XP333 M/Board with AMD 1.8 chip, 256 DDR333 memory running wth Windows ME.
Whenever I try to use TMPEG - my favourite encoder - it gets anywhere between 2 & 99% through encoding & then locks. If I try the same film again, it will encode but lock at a differant place.
If I try encoding on another machine it does it perfectly.
This is soooooo frustrating as it will encode in real time on the Iwill, but about 6hours for a 1.5 hr film on my other machines.
Any ideas?????????????????????????????????

I bet this is the last VIA based MB you buy 8)
Seriously start with your chpset driver and make sure they are up-to-date, then sound, video, raid, capture .... -
Cheers Snowmoon, shall get up to Iwill ASAP.
I have tried everything else, changed chip, memory, used every version of TMPEG from 2.02 and it is always the same.
You are obviously a big fan of VIA !!!!!
