  1. I'm new to avi-io, and not sure how to do this, but it should be possible. How do you set it up to capture.. say... 3 different shows unattended? I've set the timer and captured files fine, but they go in the capture directory, and if I set it to do another, it would want to overwrite the previous cap.

Capture setting make sure increment capture number ( or whatever it says ) is checked so your first cap would be..

    cap1.00.avi
    cap1.01.avi
    ...

    The second would be

    cap2.00.avi
    cap2.01.avi
    ...

    You get the idea.

  3. Thanks, I just went to the avi-io site and looked harder. Found the info (Capture-settings-increment) that I needed to know.

  4. Another question. Does the AVI-IO program have to be running for the timer to activate? Or does the timer run in the background and start the AVI-IO program when it's time to caoture the next show?

  5. It has to be running for a timer event to occur.

When I used to use it, I used the windows scheduler to launch avi_io before the timer event, and kill it several minutes after the last recording finihsed. It meant programming each event in two places, but it worked.
