I know I'm not the only one that runs across these strange occurrences,
but I'm sure I'm getting close to the top of the class. Here's another one
    I need your help with.

Downloaded this movie (5 CD's) according to the folder title, it's suppose
to be a DVDRip to SVCD. Didn't find a nfo file which makes my problem
even harder, and I checked the usual places with no success. I unarchived
the files expecting to find a BIN/CUE. Well, what I found was one 800MB+
file without an extension. So I right-clicked the file hoping to get some
info from properties, nothing. Fired up WMP, found the file using All files
(*.*) types, and although the movie plays, it's slow. Now this indicates to
me I don't have the correct codec. Nevertheless, I checked, File--->Properties
and found the movie being played using the Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder
video codec and the Morgan Stream Switcher audio codec. I'm not sure
this info is vital to a solution.

Whats my next step in determining what I've got so I can start the
encoding process to play on my standalone DVD player?

    TIA for all suggestions!
    Why doesn't this work?

Sounds like a .bin file without extension. Have you tried burning it mode2?

vcdgear might be able to extract the .mpg.

  3. You can also try to use isobuster. At least it should give you some hints about the file-type

Remember this file has no extension. So are you saying add one?
And if that's the case, what extension should I add? In the case of
the a BIN/CUE and this being the BIN, what would I use for a CUE?

I tried bringing the file into ISOBuster, but again no extension. I
even tried bringing it into Nero and burning it Mode 2. I get this error
message, "The entered block size does not correspond to the image
length. The block size could be wrong." The options are, "Correct or
    Ignore."

    Will you guys elaborate?
    Why doesn't this work?
