  1. I created a dvd disc on an iMac 15" OS10.1.5 using iDVD 2. It took 3 hours to create a 60 DVD. Now the DVD won't come up on either an new HP computer with DVD-RW or on a standalone Samsung-611 DVD player. This is the 3rd time I have created the DVD using the newest updates from Apple. I'm trying to make a family DVD for Christmas and am getting desparate.

    Any suggestions???????

  2. Since the MAC is DVD-R format and HP is DVD+R format...could that be the problem? Is the DVD RW drive you have in your HP an HP drive? What make is your DVD burner?

I made my first DVD on my friends new MAC G4 with iDVD 2.1 (NICE software) and it plays fine on my component JVC DVD player. It also plays fine on my Lite-On DVD-ROM drive on my Windows XP Pro system.

My JVC DVD player is about 3 months old...how old is yours? This may be the problem.

  3. I used the DVD-R/CD-RW in the iMac. I believe it's a Pioneer drive. The HP computer is my son's and I don't know the manufacturer. It was built into the machine when he purchased it. I know it has been used for viewing several other DVDs including others made on Windows based machines.
