ahhh - unfortunatley you have one of the ohh about 3 cards on the market with that problem - I have a DC30 with a similar problem.

I suggest you look for a cheap , cheap Brooktree based TV tuner card
there are literally hundreds on the market world wide.
Try really really hard to get a brooktree (Conexant) based card as this will give you less problems.
you can probably get them for around $30-40 in most places

The results can be very good - esp with Hufy as you wanted
but a hardware mjpeg card is alot easier to use - unless you have the same problem I did of no XP drivers for the DC-30

  5. i appreciate your advice a lot
my av master also has no drivers for xp but i use dualboot and capture in win98
has the quality (price) of the tv card no influence on the capture quality?
and can you name a card you would advice?

    thanks again

Well not really - as I said above - only get something with a Brooktree (conexant) based chipset on it and you will be OK
they usually list the model of the chip on the back of the box
the lastest chips are BT879/878/848 and similar

these cards all use the same design and take the same modified XP drivers
you should avoid using cards that don't specifily list a brooktree chipset as most of the others use a philips SAA***** chip and this causes problems - lots of problems if fact with XP you can almost forget getting a decnet capture at all.
hope this helps - if you want more info mail me
