Ok, I've encoded my movie to mpeg1 using TMPGenc and I now want to fit it on one CD (because its awfully close to the right size!). Can anyone tell me whether I can re-encode my TMPGenc mpeg1 (at say..,900Mb - encoded at 1150kbps - CBR) to an mpeg1 (at 800Mb encoded at approx 1080kbps CBR/VBR?)
So far all I get is a slightly larger file if I reload it into TMPGEnc and alter the bitrate etc... it seems to ignore the new settings? (seems to...)
The reason I ask, is that I ditched the VOB's and all I have left is the mpeg
Maybe there's a completely different method?
Thanx![]()
P.S. If you can recommend any RECENT TMPGenc templates (for 2.58 + PAL) lemme know! - I already have seffy's circa 2001

My apologies, my ISP was slow as... and I didn't realise my earlier attempt to post this message was successful!
Again, Mr moderators - honest mistake! -
Did you change the setting to MPEG-1 Video CD Non standard?
Its on the System tab in the conifguration.
