i am useing toolame and lame for my mp2 and mp3.

when it is finished makeing the file i listen to it and it has noise on it. i have tried with both mp2 and mp3 but they are both the same.
which leaves me to think that TMPGEnc is not getting the temporary wav file from my clip correctly
then when i mux the audio with the video i can hear this noise on my clip.

i hope somebody can help me

    TMPGEnc ver 2.56

how are you converting the audio?
    what kind of noise?
--if it's a buzz, or some other constant noise, you can use a number of different programs to remove it--search for audio buzz, and you'll find a good answer. I've used soundforge, and gotten good results

i dont know how or why, but it seems to be working now

i grabed the audio off the the clip with Vdub and loaded the unlock template and choose audio only, then i hit encode. i then mux after its done. i dont know why it didnt work when i tried to encode both video and audio together, maybe somebody else knows why.

    another question but,
should i use mux or simple mux?

hey thanks for taking time to reply to my question
i need all the help i can get :P

do mux--make sure to select the proper stream type
if you're doing SVCD, I would recommend using BBMpeg to do this, as it does a better job, and allows you to join/split by max file size (795 MB for 80 minute CD)
