Can somebody tell me the difference between the audio settings in TMPGEnc and which is the best to use when making VCD's?
Stereo, Joint-Stereo, Dual Channel?

I think dual channel is for VCDs to do 2 languages (one on the "left" & one on the "right
etc. For normal stuff stereo is best.
