    I have a movie in ASF format and it will not allow me to Fast Forward. I have seen this before as well but did not know if there is a solution for it. I am using Windows Media Player 7

    I think those are the older ASF files in which you couldn't fast foward.

    Have you tried ASF Indexer or Advanced Script Indexer from the Windows Media Resource Kit?
