    Hi there...

What is the most efficient way to convert dvd to vcd ?
and with what program's to do it ?

I have used Dvdx 2.0 but the output is poor, the subtitles are hard to read and the color of the subtitle is grey instead of white.

So, does anyone know an easy and understandable solution ?

    Thanx
    Dennis

    good guide.

i use smartripper, dvd2avi, tmpgenc, and nero to burn my discs.

takes time and effort but results are worth it, especially when making SVCD's

  5. There are many many ways of doing it. I suggest that you have a look at the guides at http://www.doom9.org

    I use Smartripper>dvd2avi>tmpg>bbmepeg>vcdeasy>cdrwin

Using 2-pass I get close to dvd looking.

I don't use one guide. I take alittle bit here and alittle bit there and combine um to get the best results.

actually, it doesn't take that much time once you get used to it....

using multiprograms rather than all-in-one proggies like dvd2svcd gives more flexibility....(i.e. you can choose to frameserve into tmpgenc through a whole lotta proggies like vdub and flask)
