It's probably an obvious question, but can you continue to add more Video to a VCD cd after you have burnt it? (and having left the CD open)
All the files I'm burning are vcd compliant (so I'm not asking about that) and I have made a several VCDs (anime's) so I do know how to burn a CD once.
What's happening is that I've got some VCD's where I've got a remaining 50 or so minutes on, so I leave the CD open to write more. (unticking the box next to finalise CD). Is there a way to continue to use the VCD as a VCD (adding more video)? (I know I can add more data)
I'm using nero 5.5, and no menues or anything fancy.

No.
The most pertinent info on a VCD is in the PBC which is written in track one. It contains information about all the video tracks.
That is, you (the authoring/burning proggy) basically need to know the layout of the entire VCD before it starts burning.
It doesn't matter that you didn't "finalise" the disc. You can't add any extra video tracks to it (with the expectation that it will work).

instead of leaving the disc open drag several mpegs over in nero and use the menu option in nero. then when you play it in the standalone it will bring up the menu and you can pick which video to watch. then your not wasting disc space
