    I have 2 Mintek 1600 players I bought a few months ago to play DVD-R that I have made. All was going well, so we decided to buy 5 more today for Christmas gifts. Opened one up to check it out, and it wouldn't play ANY of my DVD-R disks. I've heard they may have changed some firmware, anybody know anything about this? Anybody know how to check what firmware version I have so I can confirm this? Please let me know.

    Choose the DVD Players Link on the left of your screen. Find your brand under brands drop down, perform a search. Choose the 1600. There is a user note in there regarding a firmware update issue.
