  1. I am wondering if any one tried to use screen capture program to capture slide show in AVI and than later burn a VCD/DVD from AVI. I think It should work just fine because there are free software available which can record full screen slide show (on any thing from computer monitor) in high resolution AVI format (including audio). Once you have AVI file it will be easy to convert it to MPEG for VCD or DVD burning. There are several photo editing programs with cool transition effects and audio clips to display your digital photos on screen. Any suggestions?

We do alot of that here in the Distance Learning Department of a college. The best way to avoid dropped frames is to record thru a scan converter or the tv out of a laptop to a dv deck/camcorder and then capture the recorded dv tape via firewire. We have an upsacle converter and the quality is quite good.

  4. Have you tried Camcorder program to capture powerpoint? Camcorder is a part of office suit and I think it only works with Office 95. I have used it in the past and it has worked for me. Unfortunately, I am now using office 2000 and camcorder does not support it.
