  1. heya for all the ppl out there which has used dvd2svcd or is using dvd2svcd im just wondering how long is the process of making a svcd not including the burning?? say for a 2 hr movie??

    i have a p4 2.4ghz 512ddr ram 16x sony dvd rom

  3. I don't use that program...

    but with the tools I use:

    smartripper
    dvd2avi
    tempengc

    The smartripper/dvd2avi process takes about 35 minutes on my machine.

    The conversion in tempengc to svcd - VBR/2 pass at high quality takes about 7-8 hours. (XP1700, 768MB ram - disk speed isn't an issue here).

    The high quality setting is what adds the time to it. Not a big deal, I just batch them up and let them run.

  4. I am using this program with TmpgEnc 3 hous movie with PIII 850 RAM 512 it took me 29 hours. But since you've faster machine it will be less time.

    I'm running a 1.6 P4 640 DDR ram. A 2 hour movie on DVD2SVCD with CCE set to 4 pass takes about 7 hours. Lower CCE to 2 pass if you're in a hurry.
