  1. I have downloaded several movie clips. All of which are MPEG files. Some of them are large files of 222,119kb, some are smaller files of around 41,000kb.

All of the files both large and small are the same running time of approx. 23 minutes.

My problem is that the large files will play fine in either Windows Media player or the RealOne player. They also work fine with TMPEG. The smaller files will neither play or work with TMPEG. When I try to encode them TMPEG shuts down. When I try to play them with the RealOne player I get a general error message which says...

MPEG by Bitcasting: File Format cannot find MPEG file header. This may not be an MPEG file.

I am not sure what the problem is, I kinda new to this and still learning.
    Thanks for you help,

    Gary

  3. In PowerDVD I can drag and drop the big files and the play, with the small ones I get an unknown format error.

I have the same feeling as BJ_M so just make sure that you have the latest MPEG2 Plugin or a MPEG2 Codec if you don't have them insall them and try playing the movies on software like WinDVD because it supports files of this format.

    GOOD LUCK
