  1. HI,
ok, I have burned a cd-r with Nero ver. 5.5.3.5 demo. I think it is missing a file Vcd_play.exe. The cd I burned has these file Cdi, Ext, Mpegav, Segment and vcd. It won't let me play it on my sony (1,500.00 dvd play). The only reason I know that it is missing a file is my brother has a copy of a movie and it played on my dvd player it was a cd-rw and it has the file Vcd_play.exe. I have all the same files on the cd I burned on a cd-r that he does except Vcd_play.exe. How do I get that file to burn with the rest of the file when I burn with Nero. I hope this make sense this is my first time doing this and I am going nutty after spending 9 hours today on figuring this stuff out.
I thank any one who can help me with this problem.

I guess "VCD_play.exe" is a software VCD player.
It isn't part of the directory structure of a VCD. You may add such a player, but even windows media player will play the mpeg, when you open the VCD> MPEGAV.
A standalone DVD player does not need that file. I'm not sure, what a SONY needs, but many sony players have problems with CD-R, try CD-RW instead.
Have a look at this too
