pls help!! video skipping & audio sunc problems

I tried converting avi & mpeg files using TMGPEnc to mpg files, then used Nero to burn the mpg files as a VCD. When I play the VCD on a player, the video skips & audio is out of sync and gives a click clack sound the same sound when a cd skips. How do I solve this? Pls help me as I have already ruined 3 cds in this process.

When you use TMPGEnc, which template did you load, and is DirectShow at the proper priority?

I tried using my own template, i guess maybe thats y it wasnt wokring,
then i used VDub to separate the audio & re encoded using TMPGEnc using NTSC format. It worked finally, but I have a doubt whether if I dont use VDub & just use the NTSC format will it work? Seems like Nero likes the NTSC format made mpgs.
