  1. I read somewhere that maxwell and apple are the most compatible media wit dvd....... i wanted to no a place where i can find the cheapest of each.... i havent even seen maxwell dvd-r....... can anyone help me out

    Apple disk are about the same price everywhere. Frys near me carries then if you have one around. (about $5 each in 5 packs)

    The disk I'm using are about 1x and $2.60ish each... so I dont know what to suggest.

  9. no.... sorry i gotta correct myself.... it is MAXELL..... i found out yesterday but they all still very expensive..... how so i find out if one of these companies put there dvd-rs out as no name at a lower rate like some other companies do

    I'm not sure if it will work with DVDs, but there's a trick in Nero, that allows you to see the manufacturer of cds. Open up the medium info window and refresh it while holding "shift."

    Someone else on the forum posted a link to this.

    If it does work, you can buy a few cheap DVDRs and figure out which ones are manufactured by reliable companies.

  12. WELL..... i wll try that when i get home.... da only thing is tht i erased garbage ass nero off my machine when i found out that it dont do dvds well...... but hopefully it wll have some use this time
