  1. I encoded MPEG2 file to create a DVD, the file was in 352x576, wich is a legal DVD resolution. In the CCE setting tab, I checked 'DVD Compliant' and encoded the file, then, when I opened it, I've noticed that the file was resized to 720x576.
I want to encode the file in the original resolution but don't know if I can safely uncheck the option, so, is this option really needed? and if it is, is there an option to change the resolution?

    Try DVD2SVCd with cce encoder.

when making, a 352x576 resolution mpeg2 stream, i think you dont need to check the DVD compliant.

When using 720x576 "DVD compliant" is recomerd!!!!

You don't have to use that setting. If your encoding a video that is not Full D1 resolution *(720x480 or 720x576), leave it unchecked. As you have already found, leaving it checked will only cause CCE to resize your video to full D1 resolutions.
