I read often about TMPEnc, is it better to encode file with it and then author themm with Workshop? Wht is wrong with encoding with workshop to burn DVD?
I use a mini-dv camcorder, Media studio pro 6.5 and DVD Workshop 1.2

The general opinion around here is that to be that TmpGenc is a much better mpeg encoder (in terms of final quality) than those that come bundled with many commercial, consumer level apps and I would agree. There is a bit of a learning curve in getting the best out of it, depending on your source and output requirements, but no more so than any other software encoder.
