  1. I just bought my ATI All-In-Wonder 128 Pro last week and when I tried capturing my NTSC tapes, the video has no color. I found out that the system of my AIW was PAL. Is there any way I can capture my NTSC tapes with it's true color? Please help. I don't want my money wasted on this.

It sounds like you are trying to capture with composite output from your NTSC VCR player. If you are, try capturing the analog (RCA) output instead. Good luck!

  3. Tommy...I am getting my output from the VCR via RCA cable. My VCR is multi-system. I guess there is no problem with my player but the card. My AIW is PAL system and just like TV, if you play an NTSC tapes to your PAL TV, you will not see the correct color (more of a black and white video). So, is there any way I can capture my NTSC tapes on my PAL AIW?

  4. i don't know what the other post was talking about, composite video (for all intents and purposes) IS the RCA video output.

go into ATI MMC setup, and under "tuner" tab, change "cable standard" to "United States", and that should set you up for NTSC. some of the actual tuners have both crystals to tune NTSC and PAL, but if you don't have one of those, you can still caputre composite or s-video in either format, since the rage theater chip, not the tuner, takes care of that.

  5. Guys, thanks for all the help. I was able to play my NTSC tapes on my AIW by using my VCR's function 'NTSC Playback on PAL TV'. I found the switch at the back and when I turned it on, the video shows the correct color on my AIW. Thanks again!
