  1. I can't find a software that will open or edit these files.

    I'm afraid to create movies in SVCD due to the fact that only my DVD/VCD player is able to play the movie.

    I tried many mpeg2 editing softwares and they have no luck opening the file. Most or all of them claims the the file is invalid.

    So, if anybody knows of a name of a software that can edit these mpeg files, please tell me.

    After they are in SVCD format...they should still be mpeg2...however, the file extension is .dat

    Most of the time, you can just change the extension from .dat to .mpg. Otherwise, you would need to extract the video first.

    You are in breach of the forum rules and are being issued with a formal warning. Stop morgue diving posts that are 4 years old.
