  1. I've been successfully burning DVD-Rs for a few weeks and playing them without problems on my Sony S360. The recent Pioneer 104 firmware update (version 1.32 I believe) is now causing sound problems, namely I don't have any sound! The discs play perfectly fine with picture and sound on my computer DVD player, but the sound is absent on the Sony. I've played with the menu settings on the Sony without any success (turning off the Dolby Digital output, for example). All of the discs burned prior to this firmware update play fine. I've discovered that Pioneer has included an "anti-downgrade" in this firmware update, so that isn't the answer. Anyone else with this problem? Any other suggestions? Thanks!

  2. OK, update. The discs that I burned post-firmware update work fine, audio and all, on my parents DVD player. The disc I just burned with AC3 sound works fine on mine. Obviously it's some setting on my DVD player for sound, but I've tried them all. Even so, why do discs burned in the exact same way pre-upgrade still work fine and ones post-upgrade with the same audio encoding don't??
