  1. couldnt locate decompressor for format "dx50"(unknown)

    virtual dub requires a video for windows (vfw) compatible codec to decompress
    direct show codecs, such as those used by windows media player, are not suitable :P

    You can't open Windows Media files (.wmv files) in VirtualDub due to some copyright law.
